"Helping people help themselves." Health Reach Canada (HRC) is a non-denominational not-for-profit charitable organization assisting people in the developing world to improve their lives through health and education programs.
This is accomplished by working collaboratively with people in their culture to solve their issues in a culturally appropriate manner within the given environment. It requires stakeholder investment, in the form of time, energy, and ideas, to attain desired and sustainable outcomes over time.
The model employed is collaborative. It requires those with the issue invest themselves and work together with HRC to develop and implement culturally appropriate and sustainable outcomes. Together problems are discussed and refined to clearly understand the specifics which can then be addressed.
