School Supplies Program The supplies program provides basic school supplies such as pencils, paper and clothing to students at Mikocheni Village School, in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Of the 2054 students attending this school 500 are orphans.
Schools in Mizoram, India, and in Nepal are hoping for support soon. Gifts to this program will make it possible. Education Support Program This program helps students at all levels to remain in school when they would otherwise be forced to drop out. Government exams must be written in Classes four and seven in order to stay in school. In university medical and nursing students must be able to pay for lodging in order to remain in school. When a student can not afford to pay the required fee s/he is forced to leave school. Gifts to this program assist students with promise to remain in school. Click here to see Nira Orphanage Adopt A Teach This program partners Western doctors and nurses with doctors and nurses at Mission Mikocheni Hospital and Hubert Kairuki Medical University, in Dar es Salaam for educational purposes and to teach in the medical school. Westerners learn about issues faced and work with staff. After leaving, professional and personal relationships continue over the Internet providing mutual support and assistance. Gifts to this program assist Tanzanian doctors and nurses to attend specific programs and to purchase educational materials.
